Investigation on the Marine Corrosion Behavior and Mechanism of Fe3O4 Film Using ReaxFF-MD by CHEN Xiangrui, CHEN Yang, WANG Bing, GU Bin

Published 2024-11-01
“…In order to explore more deeply and comprehensively the intrinsic mechanisms of corrosion behavior of steel in the marine environment, the ReaxFF molecular dynamics (ReaxFF-MD) method was employed to study the marine corrosion behavior of Fe3O4 in steel passivation film under different NaCl contents, temperatures and strain conditions.By characterizing the surface corrosion morphology, testing the quality loss curve, number density curve, radial distribution function (RDF) curve and simulating the atomic structure evolution at the reaction interface, the process and differences of Fe3 O4 marine corrosion behavior under different conditions were analyzed, and the mechanisms of Fe3O4 marine corrosion and the influence of different factors were revealed at the atomic scale. Results showed that the marine corrosion of Fe3O4 went through three stages: the adsorption stage of water molecules on the surface of Fe3O4 substrate in marine environment, the rapid corrosion stage of substrate and the corrosion saturation stage.During the corrosion process, the increase in NaCl content in the marine environment promoted the adsorption of water molecules on the substrate surface, enhancing the interaction between substrate atoms and water molecules. Moreover, the increase in temperature would cause expansion deformation and enhance molecular motion, reducing the difficulty of bond breaking behavior of matrix atoms.External strain led to an increase in atomic bond lengths and a decrease in atomic coordination numbers within the Fe3O4 matrix, thereby exacerbating the corrosion process.Besides, when the external load was applied, the strain in the substrate increased with the progression of corrosion, and the defect concentration area was generated under high strain loading.…”

Formation and evolution law of high-intensity mining ground fissures and damage reduction method by Xiaobin LI, Quansheng LI, Fulian HE, Cun ZHANG, Penghua HAN, Yong ZHANG, Zhaopeng REN, Chuanjiu ZHANG, Yang WU

Published 2024-12-01
“…The result shows that there are large and small cyclic pressure in the longwall face of double key layer structure, the breakage of sub-critical layer affects the small cyclic pressure, and the instability of the main key layer controls the large cyclic pressure, the step of large cyclic pressure is 2-4 times of that in the small cyclic pressure, and the load in the large cyclic pressure is 1.07-1.13 times of that in the small cyclic pressure; The dynamic cracks in the central region exhibit a “bimodal” distribution with self-healing phenomena, while the boundary cracks exhibit a “unimodal” distribution, which is more destructive to the surface; Accelerating the advancement speed can reduce the extent of mining damage and accelerate the rate of roof subsidence; The dynamic cracks in the centre opening-closure-opening-closure evolution process was explained in terms of rotary subsidence of the key block; The instability of the pressure arch structure caused by high-intensity mining is the fundamental reason for the generation of ground cracks; A systematic damage reduction method of advancement speed optimization, grouting arch reduction damage and zoning treatment of ground cracks was proposed. …”

Published 2013-01-01
“…The existence of the backlash can generate impact between teeth, which influences the stability of gear transmission. In order to comprehensive research on the influence of backlash on the gear vibration characteristics, the influences of backlash on the gear pair vibration and impact state under different meshing frequency and different loads are studied, through establishing the mathematical model of gear pair nonlinear vibration, and solving the model numerical simulation based on Runge-Kutta method, combined with time process diagram, phase diagram,Poincaré and FFT frequency spectrogram. The research shows that, the dynamics response of meshing frequency towards backlash is the nonlinear relationship, when the meshing frequency is fixed, within a certain range of backlash, gear chaos appears, out of that range, gear chaos does not appears. When the gear load is lighter, backlash is more likely to influence the vibration characteristics of gear pair, however, when the load is heavy, the influence is smaller. With the increase of backlash, the gear impact state transits from bilateral impact to unilateral impact.when it surpass the threshold, the impact of unilateral state will be maintained and unchanged.…”
