Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis on Human African Trypanocide Resistance
Published 2023“…Results: Pentamidine/melarsoprol/nifurtimox cross-resistance is associated with loss of the T. brucei adenosine transporter 1/purine 2 gene (TbAT1/P2), aquaglyceroporins (TbAQP) 2 and 3, followed by the high affinity pentamidine melarsoprol transporter (HAPT) 1. In addition, the loss of the amino acid transporter (AAT) 6 is associated with eflornithine resistance. …”

Off-the-shelf CAR-NK cells targeting immunogenic cell death marker ERp57 execute robust antitumor activity and have a synergistic effect with ICD inducer oxaliplatin
Published 2024-07-01“…Our results show that G6-CAR-NK92 cells can effectively kill various tumor cell lines in vitro on which ERp57 is induced or intrinsically expressed, and also exhibit potent antitumor effects in cancer cell-derived xenograft and patient-derived xenograft mouse models. Additionally, the antitumor activity of G6-CAR-NK92 cells is synergistically enhanced by the low-dose ICD-inducible drug OXP.Conclusion Collectively, our findings suggest that ERp57 can be leveraged as a new tumor antigen for CAR-NK targeting, and the resultant CAR-NK cells have the potential to be applied as a broad-spectrum immune cell therapy for various cancers by combining with ICD inducer drugs.…”

Linking obesity-associated genotype to child language development: the role of early-life neurology-related proteomics and brain myelinationResearch in context
Published 2025-03-01“…Interrogating early-life mechanisms including neurology-related proteomics and language-related white matter microstructure, we found that EFNA4 and VWC2 expressions were associated with language ability as well as fractional anisotropy of language-related white matter tracts, suggesting a role in brain myelination. Additionally, the expression of the EPH-Ephrin signalling pathway in the hippocampus might contribute to language development. …”

Exposure to perchlorate via drinking water from eight major water basins in China and its health risks across different age groups
Published 2025-02-01“…To examine whether perchlorate pollution in source water causes a risk to populations of different age groups exposed to residues in drinking water, the spatial distribution of perchlorate levels in source water and drinking water from eight major water basins in China in 2019 was quantified with ion chromatography. The average daily potential dose (ADD) of perchlorate from drinking water intake was estimated for different age groups in the Chinese population. …”
