    Published 2025-04-01
“…Computed tomography (CT) scans play a critical role in early diagnosis and disease management, yet traditional segmentation methods often falter in addressing anatomical variability and pathological complexity. To overcome these limitations, this study introduces the context-driven active contour (CDAC), a new segmentation method that combines active contour models (ACMs) with contextual analysis. …”

Remote sensing monitoring of wheat aphids by combining HJ satellite images with least squares twin support vector machine model by HU Gensheng, WU Wentian, LUO Juhua, HUANG Wenjiang, LIANG Dong, HUANG Linsheng

    Published 2017-03-01
“…The LSTSVM has a good processing ability for large scale unbalanced data and has stronger robustness than the traditional support vector machine (SVM) . Computational complexity of LSTSVM is reduced by using the least squares algorithm to transform inequality constraints into equality constraints.Experimental results showed that: the overall monitoring accuracy of the LSTSVM model was 86.4% and the Kappa coefficient was 0.71; the traditional SVM model was 77.3% and 0.52; the Fisher linear discriminant analysis (FLDA) model was 77.3% and 0.54; and the learning vector quantization (LVQ) neural network model was 72.7% and 0.39. …”

Ethos numérique et image de candidat dans les campagnes électroniques : le cas des élections israéliennes de 2013 by Eithan Orkibi

    Published 2016-07-01
“…These discursive strategies transform the campaign microblogs into personal “campaign diaries” used by the candidates to account for “behind the scenes” anecdotes, subjective impressions and private insights. The analysis shows that candidates used personal Facebook microblogs to strengthen their image as “authentic” and complex characters, which differs, and in some respect contrasts their public persona as was engineered by the campaign managers in the mainstream campaign. …”
