Global trends and research frontiers on machine learning in sustainable animal production in times of climate change: Bibliometric analysis aimed at insights and orientations for t...
Published 2025-06-01“…The main insights generated in the bibliometric analysis were (i) sustainable animal production changed from unidisciplinary science to multidisciplinary science linked to agricultural, environmental and engineering sciences, mainly to genetics and computing; (ii) the concept of sustainable animal production emerged from animal welfare and climate change concepts found in UN's 2030 Agenda; (iii) omics sciences, greenhouse gases, energy efficiency and animal welfare are the main keywords for bibliometric analyses in future studies related to sustainable animal production in the coming centuries; (iii) prediction and classification analyses, i.e., supervised machine learning models used as main tools in animal production; (iv) residual feed intake applied to measure sustainable feed efficiency in animal farming in the past and nowadays; and (v) The United States, China, Brazil and Australia are the main countries publishing studies on sustainability in animal production, but only China has been gaining prominence in publications in this field, in recent years, and it will turn this country into an emerging leader in future publications on this topic. …”

Prevalence of malocclusion and orthodontic treatment need in a sample of 12-15-year-old kurdish schoolchildren in Ranyia district
Published 2018-12-01“…Background and objectives: In recent years, much attention has been focused on measuring the severity and prevalence of malocclusion and orthodontic treatment need worldwide,in particular, the aetiological importance of genetic factors has been reduced, considering that many malocclusions recognize a post-natal origin related to habits at early stages of life and trauma. This study aimed to determine the prevalence of malocclusion and to evaluate the need for orthodontic treatment in school going children in Ranyia district in Kurdistan region of Iraq. …”

Characterization of the genomic landscape of canine diffuse large B-cell lymphoma reveals recurrent H3K27M mutations linked to progression-free survival
Published 2025-02-01“…Furthermore, many of these studies lack sufficient clinical follow-up data, making it difficult to draw meaningful associations between genetic variants and patient outcomes. Our study aimed to characterize the mutational landscape of cDLBCL using whole-genome sequencing of matched tumor-normal samples obtained from a cohort of 43 dogs previously enrolled in a clinical trial for which longitudinal follow-up was available. …”

Endosperm culture-based allotriploid hybrid production from an interspecific cross of Haemanthus spp.: new insights into polyploidization and hybridization
Published 2025-02-01“…Conclusions This study is the first to demonstrate the production of allotriploid hybrid plants through endosperm culture using seeds from interspecific crosses, as supported by cellular and genetic analyses. Additionally, the study established a novel system for simultaneously producing diploid and allotriploid hybrids from a single seed, providing valuable materials to study the effects of polyploidization and hybridization in allopolyploid plants. …”

Carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales (CRE) colonisation as a predictor for subsequent CRE infection: A retrospective surveillance study
Published 2025-01-01“…Contribution: This study reports higher CRE colonization rates in South Africa than previously documented, highlighting the urgent need to reduce colonization. The close genetic link between CRE colonization and subsequent infection suggests that knowledge of prior colonization can guide clinicians in selecting effective antibiotics, particularly for infections occurring within 30 days. …”
