Measuring technical variability in illumina DNA methylation microarrays. by Anderson A Butler, Jason J Kras, Karolina P Chwalek, Enrique I Ramos, Isaac J Bishof, David S Vogel, Daniel L Vera

    Published 2025-01-01
“…By utilizing a dataset comprised of multiple, highly similar technical replicates, we identified a chamber number bias, with different chambers of the microarray exhibiting systematic differences in fluorescence intensities (FI) and their derived methylation beta values, which are only partially corrected for by existing preprocessing methods and demonstrate that this positional bias can lead to false positive results during differential methylation testing. Additionally, our investigation identified outliers in low-level fluorescence data which might play a role in contributing to predictive error in computational models of health-relevant traits such as age.…”

COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF CHANGE IN NEUROPHYSIOLOGICAL AND NEUROCHEMICAL INDICATORS IN TRAINED WORKERS EXPOSED TO MERCURY AND VINYL CHLORIDE by Елена Владимировна Катаманова, Ирина Валерьевна Кудаева, Олег Леонидович Лахман, Виктор Степанович Рукавишников, Елена Николаевна Корчуганова, Ирина Михайловна Ещина

    Published 2020-11-01
“…When exposed to both mercury and vinyl chloride, changes are noted in the dynamics of observation in the field of emotional and cognitive impairments, as well as bioelectric activity of the brain. In addition, the content of catecholamines, primarily norepinephrine, due to the modification of its biotransformation, is more pronounced upon exposure to mercury. …”

Revisiting single inclusive jet production: timelike factorization and reciprocity by Kyle Lee, Ian Moult, Xiaoyuan Zhang

    Published 2025-05-01
“…In the case of small radius jets, the dynamics of the jet clustering can be factorized from both the hard production dynamics, and the dynamics of the low scale jet substructure measurement, and is described by a matching coefficient that can be computed in perturbative Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD). …”
