Optimizing Techno-Economic Framework of REGs in Capacitive Supported Optimal Distribution Network by G. Srinivasan, Kumar Reddy Cheepati, B. Srikanth Goud, Mohammed Alqarni, Basem Alamri, Ch. Rami Reddy

    Published 2024-11-01
“…This study describes the optimization of Distribution Network Structure (DNS) by altering sectionalizing and tie-switches with Reactive Power Injections (RPI) through optimal nodes under three load variations considering five different cases in Electric Distribution Networks (EDNs) to reduce Energy Loss (ELoss), thereby achieving Economic Benefit (EB), which is the first step process. …”

A Quasi-Distributed Crack Sensor Based on Weakly Coupled Vertical U-Shaped Ring Array by Chenjie Chu, Jiayi Huang, Xuan Xie, Jun Zhang

    Published 2025-04-01
“…The uneven internal field distribution within the resonator is a critical factor contributing to sensitivity variation at different locations. In this study, a vertical U-shaped ring structure is excited using a microstrip line. …”

Spatial variation in human omnivory during the late Holocene in southern South America: an assessment based on transformed isotopic niches mapping by Gustavo Barrientos, Gustavo Barrientos, Luciana Catella, Natalia Soledad Morales, Natalia Soledad Morales

    Published 2025-07-01
“…Among the factors that likely structured spatial variation in the degree and type of omnivory are those characterizing the physical environment (e.g., net primary productivity or NPP, effective temperature or ET) and the biotic environment (e.g., differential distribution of marine biota). …”

Machine learning solutions for integrating partially overlapping genetic datasets and modelling host–endophyte effects in ryegrass (Lolium) dry matter yield estimation by Jiashuai Zhu, Jiashuai Zhu, M. Michelle Malmberg, Maiko Shinozuka, Renata M. Retegan, Noel O. Cogan, Noel O. Cogan, Joe L. Jacobs, Joe L. Jacobs, Khageswor Giri, Kevin F. Smith, Kevin F. Smith

    Published 2025-05-01
“…To address these challenges: (1) we implemented a population genotyping approach to capture the genetic diversity in ryegrass base cultivars; (2) we introduced a machine learning-based strategy to integrate genetic distance matrices (GDMs) from incompatible genotyping approaches, including alignments using multidimensional scaling (MDS) and Procrustes transformation, as well as a novel evaluation strategy (BESMI) for the imputation of structural missing data. Endophytes complicate genetic evaluation by introducing additional variation in phenotypic expression. (3) We modelled the impacts of nine commercial endophytes on ryegrass DMY, enabling a more balanced estimation of untested cultivar–endophyte combinations. (4) Phylogenetic analysis provided a pseudo-pedigree relationship of the 113 ryegrass populations and revealed its associations with DMY variations. …”
