The Structural Equation Model (used to evaluate the causal relationships among multiple variables) revealed that both irrigation depth and soil texture indirectly affect yield by affecting soil inorganic nitrogen and plant N uptake and that soil nitrogen management is critical in resisting yield decline caused by constraints. …”
