Automatic MRI Lymph Node Annotation From CT Labels
Published 2025-01-01“…After annotating a medical imaging modality that is relatively straightforward to label, doctors often expect automatic annotations for images from other modalities of the same region, even though these modalities differ in contrast and structure. This study focuses on creating automatic lymph node annotation in MRI images using available CT annotations via deep-learning models. …”

Pragmatic questionnaire-based evaluation of auditory function in individuals with major neurocognitive disorders and hearing loss in diverse contexts
Published 2025-06-01“…An exploratory data analysis was utilized to provide a comprehensive understanding of the data structure and the characteristics of the sample. Eight different proportional odds logistic regression models were computed to study the relationship between the pure-tone audiometry screen results and different versions of the HHIE, with or without consideration of demographic data of the person with dementia and his/her communication partner. …”

A clinical treatment recommender system optimizing adjuvant chemoradiotherapy benefit in Chinese women with breast cancer using interpretable causal Bayesian networks
Published 2025-02-01“…After the whole cohort was randomly divided into 70% development and 30% validation cohorts, a causal BN (CBN) model was built by aggregating extensive expert knowledge and data-driven approaches to arrive at a consensus structure for causal inference, and subsequently validated its ability to predict both overall survival (OS) and recurrence free survival (RFS) by using the area under the curve (AUC), Brier score (BS), accuracy and predicted/observation ratio. …”

Combining 2′-fucosyllactose and galacto-oligosaccharides exerts anti-inflammatory effects and promotes gut health
Published 2024-12-01“…In vitro studies using caco-2 cells showed that 2′-FL and GOS combinations (H1 = GOS:2′-FL ratio of 1.8:1; H2 = GOS:2′-FL ratio of 3.6:1) reduced LPS-induced inflammation by decreasing pro-inflammatory markers, whereas individual treatments had no significant effects. In a mouse model of dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced colitis, combined 2′-FL and GOS supplementation alleviated symptoms, improved gut permeability, and enhanced intestinal structure, with the GH1 group (H1 combo with DSS) being the most effective. 2′-Fucosyllactose and GOS combinations also enhanced short-chain fatty acid production in infant fecal batch fermentation and mouse fecal analysis, with GH1 showing the most promising results. …”
