Potential induction of the relative mRNA expression levels of CYP450 by Zhicaowu-Hezi (Aconiti kusnezoffii radix preparata and Terminalia chebula Retz.)
Published 2025-07-01“…At the molecular level, RT-qPCR analysis demonstrated that Zhicaowu significantly suppressed hepatic CYP1a2, CYP2d2, CYP3a1, and CYP2c11 mRNA expression, while Hezi co-treatment restored their expression to normal or elevated levels.ConclusionHezi dose-dependently induced CYP450 enzyme activity, reversing Zhicaowu’s inhibition of CYP1a2/2d2/3a1/2c11 and markedly improving liver function and histopathology. These results elucidate the scientific basis for toxicity reduction in Zhicaowu-Hezi herb pair through metabolic enzyme regulation, supporting its traditional use. …”

Usnic acid and tannic acid as inhibitors of coccidia and Clostridium perfringens: alleviating necrotic enteritis and improving intestinal health in broiler chickens
Published 2025-05-01“…Both usnic acid alone and in combination with tannic acid alleviate NE-induced adverse effects in broilers by modulating intestinal immunity, altering the microbial composition, and improving intestinal barrier function. Compared with usnic acid alone, the combination of usnic acid and tannic acid had superior effects, providing a promising basis for the development of effective feed additive combinations.…”

Vascular access and survival of patients with hemodialysis: features of cause-effect relationship
Published 2019-07-01“…Within the patients with diabetes mellitus, the use of CVC is associated with a deterioration of the adjusted survival rate even with subsequent successful conversion to functional AVF. Patients with systemic processes (vasculitis, myeloma, HIV-associated nephropathy, renal neoplasms, etc.) have low predicted survival rate disregarding the type of vascular access (there are no significant differences between the types of vascular access). …”
