    Published 2014-04-01
“…Analysis of MSI occurrence frequency in case of EC showed that MSI is significantly more frequently observed in blood serum (10.8 % of cases) than in the colonic tissue (mucosal lining) (6.1 %). A similar pattern was observed also in cases with MSI+ tumour phenotype (MSI frequency in colonic mucosal lining made 12.2 %, whereas in blood serum – 29.6 %, p <0.01). …”

Bounce effect or local recurrence after low-dose-rate brachytherapy of the prostate? When prostate-specific membrane antigen positron emission tomography–computed tomography is fal... by Tamas Rozsos, Daniel S. Engeler, Hans-Peter Schmid, Christoph Schwab

    Published 2025-05-01
“…However, a routine prostate-specific antigen screening before initiating salvage radiotherapy revealed a decrease to 3.75 µg/l with an additional reduction to 2.68 µg/l at 2 months later. The pattern of transient prostate-specific antigen elevation strongly suggested a bounce phenomenon rather than a recurrence, allowing any unnecessary treatment to be avoided. …”

Coevolution of the Ile1,016 and Cys1,534 Mutations in the Voltage Gated Sodium Channel Gene of Aedes aegypti in Mexico. by Farah Z Vera-Maloof, Karla Saavedra-Rodriguez, Armando E Elizondo-Quiroga, Saul Lozano-Fuentes, William C Black Iv

    Published 2015-12-01
“…Ile1,016 in S6 of domain II then arose from the Val1,016/Cys1,534 haplotype and was rapidly selected because double mutants confer higher pyrethroid resistance. This pattern suggests that knowledge of the frequencies of mutations in both S6 in domains II and III are important to predict the potential of a population to evolve kdr. …”

Canopy Chlorophyll Content Inversion of Mountainous Heterogeneous Grasslands Based on the Synergy of Ground Hyperspectral and Sentinel-2 Data: A New Vegetation Index Approach by Yi Zheng, Yao Wang, Tayir Aziz, Ali Mamtimin, Yang Li, Yan Liu

    Published 2025-06-01
“…The results indicated the following: (1) DRECAVI demonstrated the highest accuracy in CCC retrieval for mountainous vegetation (R2 = 0.74, RMSE = 16.79, MAE = 12.50) compared to other VIs and hybrid methods, effectively mitigating saturation effects in high biomass areas and capturing a weak bimodal distribution pattern of CCC in the montane meadow. (2) The blue band B1 enhances atmospheric correction robustness by suppressing aerosol scattering, and the red-edge band B7 overcomes the sensitivity limitations of conventional red-edge indices (such as NDVI705, CIred-edge, and NDRE), demonstrating the potential application of the synergy mechanism between the blue band and the red-edge band. (3) Although the S2BP achieved high accuracy (R2 = 0.73, RMSE = 19.83, MAE = 14.71) without saturation effects and detected a bimodal distribution of CCC in the montane meadow of the study area, its algorithmic complexity hindered large-scale operational applications. …”
