Construction of a Covalent Crosslinked Membrane Exhibiting Superhydrophilicity and Underwater Superoleophobicity for the Efficient Separation of High-Viscosity Oil–Water Emulsion U... by Mengxi Zhou, Peiqing Yuan, Xinru Xu, Jingyi Yang

    Published 2025-04-01
“…Moreover, molecular dynamics (MD) simulations demonstrate that the SiO2-PEI-GA-modified membrane promotes the formation of a stable hydration layer, reduces the oil–layer interaction energy by 85.54%, and exhibits superior underwater oleophobicity compared to the unmodified SSM. Efficiency is maintained at 99.8% after 10 cycles. This study provides a scalable strategy that combines covalent crosslinking with hydrophilic particle modification, effectively addressing the trade-off between separation performance and membrane longevity in the treatment of viscous emulsions.…”

Efficiency improvement of graphene/AlGaAs/GaAs Schottky junction solar cells by minimizing optical losses through front and rear surface texturing by Farzaneh Shahnooshi, Ali A. Orouji

    Published 2025-07-01
“…The results show that a textured surface with a period width of 1 μm and a depth of 600 nm achieves a short-circuit current density (JSC) of 23.51 mA/cm2, an open-circuit voltage (VOC) of 0.97 V, and a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 19.99%. The n+-InAl0.65Ga0.35P BSF layer is added on the back surface as the second feature of the Prop-Str that increases the PCE by 3% due to a strong electric field in the n-GaAs/n+-InAlGaP heterojunction. …”

Research Progress on Surface Modification of Bipolar Plates for PEMFC by LI Cong, JIN Rongzhen, REN Yanjie, TANG Chunmei, HONG Yue

    Published 2025-06-01
“…The bipolar plates are one of the core components of the proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC),and its performance directly affects the output power and service life of the battery stack.Bipolar plates not only connect individual cells into stacks and provide support, but also provide gas flow paths and isolate the anodes and cathodes, playing a key role in the operating performance and lifetime of fuel cells.Due to the harsh service environment of PEMFC, including high temperature, high humidity and acidic environment, the bipolar plates need to have excellent electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance to ensure the efficient and stable operation of the fuel cell.In this paper, the development status and application progress of PEMFC bipolar plates were briefly described. The research and development of surface modification schemes for electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance were emphatically expounded. Moreover, the surface modification schemes of stainless steel, titanium, titanium alloy, aluminum alloy and other metal bipolar plate’ substrates were systematically introduced. The performance characteristics, development trends and existing problems of different metal bipolar plates and their surface modification schemes were compared. Finally, the common problems and development and application prospects of the surface modification of PEMFC metal bipolar plates were discussed.…”
