The assessment of autonomic nervous function in patients with gastrointestinal malignancies and its relationship with clinical characteristics by Zhang Xiwen, Zhang Xiwen, Feng Qiyun, Li Chuqiao, Jiang Anqi, Wu Zhenzhen, Deng Qiong, Peng Yu, Wang Chunlin

    Published 2025-02-01
“…This study aimed to evaluate the autonomic nervous function in patients with gastrointestinal cancer and to explore its relationship with clinical characteristics.MethodsWe employed the Composite Autonomic Symptom Score 31 (COMPASS-31) questionnaire and cardiovascular autonomic reflex tests (CARTs) to evaluate autonomic nervous function, while also conducting a thorough analysis of clinical data.ResultsOur results showed that low white blood cell (WBC) count (OR = 0.461, 95% CI: 0.218–0.976, p = 0.043) and increased maximum tumor diameter (OR = 1.619, 95% CI: 1.025–2.555, p = 0.039) were risk factors for autonomic dysfunction according to the COMPASS-31 assessment. …”

Theoretical study on the effect of carbon graphenous nanoclusters on the stability and capacity of polyamide in a nanocomposite by E. M. Demianenko, M. I. Теrets, Yu. I. Sementsov, S. M. Makhno, V. S. Kuts, A. G. Grebenyuk, M. T. Kartel

    Published 2019-11-01
“…The less value of the interaction energy (-325.0  kJ/mol) for the nanocomposite with C96H24 species is due to the insufficient size of the selected model for the graphene matrix. The analysis of the hydrogen bond lengths between the oxygen atom of carbonyl group and hydrogen one of amino group indicates that, regardless of length of linkage of the polymeric chain of polyamide (monomer and dimer) and the size of the graphene-like matrix (C96H24 and C110H26) in the nanocomposite, the hydrogen bond in composites is shorter in comparison with a those values in complexes without a carbon matrix. …”
