Climate Change Risk, Performance, and Value Added in Agricultural Sector
Published 2024-09-01“…The study period spans from 2010 to 2020, and the quantile regression method is employed on panel data to conduct the analysis. Methodology The general definition of quantile regression states that if the linear regression model is assumed as the following equation, we have: yi=ˊxiβτ+uτi. 0<τ<1 (1) Quantτ(yi|xi)=xiβτ (2) Equation (2) shows the τth conditional quantile function of the y distribution under the condition of random variables x in which the following condition holds: Quantτ(uτi|xi)=0 (3) In the quantile regression structure, the effect of observable features on the conditional distribution is estimated through the process of minimizing the absolute value of the error element. …”

Comprehensive analysis of the electronic, thermodynamic, and spectroscopic properties of a Cu(II)-based complex with 1,10-phenanthroline and L-glutamine
Published 2024-10-01“…A computational analysis of the intermolecular interactions using Hirshfeld surfaces was also performed, which demonstrated that the H⋯O/O⋯H and H⋯H interactions are mainly responsible for the structural and thermal stability of the complex. The calculated intramolecular vibration bands showed a good correlation with the experimental Raman and infrared (IR) data, although solvation effects caused some wavenumber shifts. …”

Ventricular volume adjustment of brain regions depicts brain changes associated with HIV infection and aging better than intracranial volume adjustment
Published 2025-05-01“…IntroductionWhile the adjustment of intracranial volume (ICV) is reported to have a significant influence in the outcomes of the analyses of brain structural measures, our study offers a paradigm shift, positing that adjusting for lateral ventricle (LV) inter-individual variability may reveal more atrophic patterns that might be overlooked in analyses without this adjustment,—and such LV-adjusted atrophic patterns may reduce discrepancies observed in earlier studies and better elucidate complex conditions associated with HIV, such as HAND.MethodsTo test this hypothesis, we employed a number of adjustment strategies on MRI T1-image-derived data extracted using deep learning models and compared their ability to identify the presence and extent of HIV-specific atrophic patterns based on statistical measures and strength.ResultsOur results show that both ICV adjustments may be effective to identify atrophic patterns associated with either aging or HIV in areas of the thalamus, basal ganglia, ventral DC and lateral ventricle, some of which may be overlooked without these adjustments. …”
