A predictive analysis of STEM vocation through students’ attitudes to school science classes
Published 2025-08-01“…Six school science class items significantly predicted the students’ degree of STEM vocation by sharing 46.1% of their common variance. In decreasing order of prediction power, the six significant predictors are “liking school science better than most other subjects,” “helping to understand sustainability solutions,” “becoming more critical and skeptical,” “importance of science for our way of life,” “difficulty of school science,” and “opening my eyes to new and exciting jobs.”DiscusionThe implications of this study for promoting STEM vocations suggest that teachers carefully cultivate those relevant characteristics of school science classes through appropriate pedagogies and inclusive and equitable contexts for all, especially for girls.…”

Corrosion Resistance of AZ91 Magnesium Alloy with Pulse Electrodeposited Ni-SiC Nanocomposite Coating
Published 2012-03-01“…Microhardness of specimens was measured and the results revealed a significant enhancement from 74 H for bare AZ91 magnesium alloy to 523 HV for the specimen coated in the bath containing 15 g.L–1 SiC. The Corrosion behavior of the samples was studied by potentiodaynamic polarization, and the obtained data showed superior corrosion resistance for coated AZ91 magnesium alloy, i.e. the corrosion current density decreased from 2.69 mA.cm–2, for the uncoated sample, to 0.00046 mA.cm–2, for coated specimen in the bath containing 15 g.L–1 SiC and the corrosion potential increased from – 2.069 V to – 0.33 V at the same conditions. …”

Towards the New World Order: Theoretical Interpretations and Practical Implementations
Published 2016-04-01“…Followers of the fatalist approach (neo-realists, globalists) believe that world order is a zero-sum game, where interstate interactions are mostly confrontational, and their pattern depends on the current balance of power. Mitigators (neo-liberals, functionalists, constructivists, etc.) insist that the emerging world order is a win-win game, where nations opt for investing some of their sovereignty into newly created international institutions (regimes and organizations), hoping that conventional rules adopted by them would help to decrease international uncertainty, which otherwise might lead to confrontation. …”
