“…Background: The ‘Integrated Model for Supervision’ (IMS) offers important guidance for how to provide supportive supervision within mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) programming in humanitarian emergencies. The current study sought to (i) describe how the IMS was implemented following IMS training; (ii) assess whether delivery of the IMS training is associated with changes in a selection of theoretically supported quantitative outcomes; and (iii) elicit feedback on the IMS and its implementation process. …”

Aerobic Power and Capacity in Highly Trained National-Level Youth Soccer Players Through On-Field Gas Exchange Assessment in an Ecological Context: A Brief Report by Martin Fernando Bruzzese, Gastón César García, Carlos Rodolfo Arcuri, Mauro Darío Santander, Jeremías David Secchi, José Augusto Rodrigues dos Santos, Rodrigo Zacca

    Published 2025-04-01
“…Given the scarcity of studies on the on-field cardiorespiratory profiles of national-level athletes, especially in Argentine soccer, this study aimed to identify the on-field cardiorespiratory fitness profile of ten highly trained youth field soccer players (13.6 ± 1.3 years old) from both the first league of the Argentine Football Association and members of the national team in their age group category in the current year. Methods: Each athlete performed an on-field cardiorespiratory exercise test (20-m Shuttle Run Test, 20-m SRT) with the COSMED K5 wearable metabolic system (COSMED, Rome, Italy) in dynamic micro-mixing chamber mode. …”

De la stabilité des sites ornés de rivière en contexte tropical lors d’événements pluviométriques majeurs : Le cas de la tempête Fiona en Guadeloupe by Julien Monney, Johan Berthet, Pascal Mora

    Published 2024-12-01
“…This article addresses the impact of extreme weather events on rock art sites located along rivers in humid tropical contexts. Drawing on archaeological and hydrogeomorphological observations made in Guadeloupe following the passage of Tropical Storm Fiona in September 2022, we provide an analysis of the modifications caused by the floods and discuss the implications for the current spatial distribution of engraved rocks in the landscape, as well as their vulnerability/stability in the face of the recurrence of such climatic hazards. The results reveal highly variable consequences depending on the sites, with their nature and extent depending on the location of the rock art sites in relation to precipitation distribution, their position within the hydrographic network (terraces, active bed, transit zone, flood zone), and the maturity of the latter. …”
