TWO-POINT BOUNDARY PROBLEM SOLUTION BY NON-GRADIENT RANDOM SEARCH METHOD by V. A. Malkin

    Published 2016-03-01
“…The initial conditions of conjugate set of equations are determined by use of non-gradient random search method. The non-gradient random search method based on application of stochastic procedures for range of problems solving, including the deterministic ones. When solving the task of optimal control estimation of dynamical system by means of Pontryagin’s maximum principle the initial conditions of conjugate set of equations must be determined, provided that dynamical system’s variables values meet the known terminal conditions Y(tk). The problem’s solution lie in random selection of vector of initial conditions in some actual range, numerical integration of basic and conjugate systems and subsequent processing of findings. …”

INNOVATIVE APPROACH TO ENSURING THE QUALITY OF GAS TURBINE ENGINE PARTS PRODUCED BY SELECTIVE LASER SINTERING FOR UAV by Yevhen VYSHNEPOLSKYI, Dmytro PAVLENKO, Larysa TUMARCHENKO

    Published 2024-09-01
“…The research objects are gas turbine engines parts, manufactured using an innovative method of additive manufacturing – selective laser sintering. The main problem solved in this work is the low quality of the surface layer and the residual porosity of the parts obtained by this method, which significantly limits their operational characteristics and durability. …”

Optimal downlink power allocation schemes for OFDM-NOMA-based Internet of things by Ya Gao, Fei Yu, Haoran Zhang, Yongpeng Shi, Yujie Xia

    Published 2022-01-01
“…Then, to solve this problem, we divide it into three sub-problems: device grouping, inter-sub-band power allocation, and intra-sub-band power allocation problems. Solving these sub-problems, we obtain the optimal power allocation schemes by jointly employing channel-state sorting–pairing algorithm, water-filling algorithm, and convex optimization theory. …”

The AFFIRM Framework for gender-affirming care: qualitative findings from the Transgender and Gender Diverse Health Equity Study by Meg Quint, Schuyler Bailar, Alexis Miranda, Shalender Bhasin, Devin O’Brien-Coon, Sari L. Reisner

    Published 2025-02-01
“…Themes about gender-affirming care coalesced into the acronym AFFIRM: (1) Affirms in individual interactions: Participants called for affirmation of TGD identity, lived expertise, and competent TGD providers and staff. (2) Flexible and accessible: Participants expressed the need for gender-affirming care to be available beyond urban population-specific clinics, in a timely fashion without long wait lists, and in a community-centered manner such as offering non-traditional times and settings. (3) Fights systemic oppression: Participants emphasized the need for providers and health systems to eliminate gatekeeping practices for gender-affirming care and create care models that resist intersecting oppressive systems such as racism and cisgenderism. (4) Interacts with community: Patients desired intentional interaction with TGD community to holistically address health and unmet gender affirmation needs. (5) Retains patients in care: Patients shared the need to collaboratively identify and problem-solve obstacles to gender-affirming care with providers and healthcare systems to optimize TGD-specific retention strategies. (6) Multidisciplinary: Patients called for interdisciplinary teams with co-located services such as primary care and mental healthcare with letter-writing for surgical care, and incorporation of peer navigators to meet the broader social, health, and well-being needs of TGD people. …”
