Low-density parity-check representation of fault-tolerant quantum circuits by Ying Li

    Published 2025-01-01
“…Each codeword in the representation corresponds to a quantum-mechanical equation regarding the circuit, formalizing the correlations utilized in parity checks and delineating logical operations within the circuit. Consequently, the LDPC code provides a means of quantifying fault tolerance and verifying logical operations. …”

Learning from the community: iterative co-production of a programme to support the development of attention, regulation and thinking skills in toddlers at elevated likelihood of au... by Alexandra Hendry, Victoria Hulks, Shona Murphy, Holly Radford, Sally Smith, Tony Charman, Sandra Mathers, Sinead Rhodes, Gaia Scerif

    Published 2025-01-01
“…The co-production process for this neurodiversity-affirming programme involved: Review of research priorities identified during published public-and-clinician consultations; iterative programme development through two pilot rounds with a general community sample; and consultation with stakeholders (parents with a connection to autism or ADHD, alongside early years specialists, psychologists and therapists) to check acceptability of the proposal, and refine the logic model and materials. The logic model for the resultant programme—Supporting Toddlers with a connection to autism or ADHD to develop strong Attention, Regulation and Thinking skills (START)—involves three mechanisms of change: The child has appropriate play-based opportunities to practise EF skills; Parenting behaviours linked to strong EFs are encouraged; Parents are empowered to improve environmental-fit for their child so that EF stressors are reduced.…”

Le concept de “métalinguistique” dans la linguistique anglaise by Claude Boisson

    Published 1999-12-01
“…Since the term “metalinguistic” must keep the canonical meaning it has always had in the logic and linguistic literatures since Tarski’s coinage of “metalanguage” in 1930, it is suggested that the “Grammaire métaopérationnelle” be renamed, as the label is misleading.…”

CONSUMER VIEW ON THE AXIS OF DIDEROT EFFECT AND UNPLANNED PURCHASE by Sabiha Kılıç, Kübra Müge Çakaröz, Funda Civek

    Published 2022-07-01
“…People's shopping habits are changing day by day.Consumers' point of view towards the product has turned into an emotional quality rather than a material quality.Emotional consumers pay attention that their products are compatible with each other. This situation triggers the Diderot Effect in consumers. With this feeling, the consumer displays a continuous buying behavior. It directs the consumer, acting with the domino effect logic,to unplanned purchases. When consumers buy an initial product, they start to think that they also need other products with the logic of induction. In order to finalize this situation, they tend to buy complementary products. This instinctive desire for integrity is described as the Diderot Effect. The aim of the study is to examine the Diderot Impact Levels and Unplanned Buying trends of the consumers. The research data were obtained through a survey applied on social media. In the analysis of the data, descriptive statistics, percentage and frequency,ANOVA and Chi-Square analysis were used. The reliability of the scales used in the study was tested with the Cronbach Alpha method, and the scales were found to be "High Reliability".As a result of the analysis,it was determined that there was a relationship between the unplanned purchasing behavior of the consumers and the Diderot effect levels and that the consumers purchased other products that were complementary to the products they purchased, therefore they were under the influence of diderot.…”
