Optimization of land use structure integrating ecosystem service function and economic development—A case study in Dongting Lake Ecological and Economic Zone, China by Yifan Zhu, Min Zhou

    Published 2025-06-01
“…Therefore, this study established a coupled land use simulation and optimization model based on ecosystem services and economic development, which integrates the ecosystem service evaluation model (InVEST), the interval uncertainty optimization model, and the spatial layout model of land use (PLUS), to simulate and optimize the land use allocation planning practice of Dongting Lake Ecological and Economic Zone in 2030. The objective of the coupled model is to aim at realizing regional ecological benefits and socio-economic benefits while taking into account the ecosystem service function constraints (water production, water conservation, soil and water conservation, and carbon storage), environmental protection constraints (air, water, and solid waste pollution), economic constraints (water use limitation, electricity use limitation), social constraints (food safety, fertilization), and technological constraints (total land area). economic benefits of the region. …”

Microbial community dynamics in shallow-water grass-type lakes: Habitat succession of microbial ecological assembly and coexistence mechanisms by Chen Feng, Junping Lu, Tingxi Liu, Xiaohong Shi, Shengnan Zhao, Chunjian Lv, Yujiao Shi, Zixuan Zhang, Yuqi Jin, Jiaqi Pang, Aojie Sun

    Published 2025-02-01
“…Aggregation and co-occurrence patterns of microbial communities are the key scientific issues in lake ecology. To explore the mechanisms of microbial ecological assembly and community succession in this unique habitat, 16 samples were collected from eight sites in Wuliangsuhai Lake. …”

Wisdom of Landscape Construction of China’s West Lakes in Historical Period and Its Implications by Lyuyuan Jia, Qing Lin, Xiyue Wang, Wenzhen Jia, Ying Zhao, Zhiqing Zhang, Ziqi Cui, Song Chen, Aibo Jin

    Published 2024-12-01
“…Furthermore, this study summarizes three causes of WLs’ scenery; excavates the historical wisdom of WLs in terms of a holistic approach, ecological techniques, dynamic management, and landscape esthetics; and subsequently proposes recommendations for lake ecological governance and landscape construction.…”
