Overlay multicast strategy based on utility optimization for wireless mesh networks
Published 2008-01-01“…Multicast support is a critical and desirable feature of wireless mesh network(WMN).A distributed algorithm was presented based on pricing scheme by using Lagrange dual decomposition technique.According to the algorithm to joint optimizing rate allocation of flows and power consumption of links for forwarding data flows,to maximize the net utility. The price is associated with each individual network link, which reflects the traffic load on this link. The flow in turn collects the prices of all links on its multicast path and calculates the overall network price, then adjusts the stream-ing rate. The validity and effectiveness of the approach are demonstrated in simulations.…”

Minimum energy broadcasting algorithm in wireless sensor networks
Published 2007-01-01“…In order to adjust the transmission power of nodes for minimizing total energy consumption in wireless sensor networks,a new distributed algorithm called ERBOP(enhanced relative neighborhood graph broadcast oriented protocol) was proposed which was an improvement upon RBOP(relative neighborhood graph broadcast oriented protocol) pre-sented by Cartigny et al.In ERBOP,a sub-graph of relative neighborhood graph, which was a sparse connected graph and contains minimum spanning tree, was locally constructed by eliminating long edges.Moreover,1-dominating connected dominating set was constructed basing on the sub-graph,and only the dominating nodes participated in the broadcasting. The simulation results show that ERBOP conserves energy efficiently.…”

Cluster-based resource allocation mechanism for Femtocell network
Published 2017-01-01“…A based-cluster resource allocation mechanism was proposed for suppressing interference between Femtocell and Macrocell in Macro-Femto network. The mechanism included three parts,FBS was put in disjoint clusters by graph theory and convex optimization, then a sub-channel allocation algorithm was adopted to assign sub-channel to the FUE and MUE based on fairness of rate.In the end, power allocation was performed by using distributed algorithm.Simulation results show that the proposed mechanism effectively suppresses cross-tier and co-tier interference in the Macro-Femto network, improves the average rate, meanwhile satisfies the requirements of fairness of rate, which makes users more satisfied.…”

Novel non-cooperative power control game algorithm for cognitive radio

Adaptive SDN switch migration mechanism based on coalitional game
Published 2020-08-01“…The problem of poor control plane performance causes in software-defined Networking due to the unreasonable mapping relationship between controllers and switches. To address this issue,an adaptive switch migration mechanism based on coalitional game was proposed.First, comprehensively considering the controller resource utilization, control overhead, and flow establishment time, the switch migration problem was modeled as a combination optimization problem. Then,a game theory was introduced to design a distributed algorithm, where each controller ran control logic independently and implemented coalitional game between controllers to achieve an adaptive switch migration mechanism that adapted to traffic characteristics. The simulation results show that the proposed mechanism can better adapt to the flow characteristics, reduce the control traffic overhead by about 19% and the average flow settling time by 30%,and improve the controller resource utilization.…”

Resource allocation algorithm based on non-cooperative game theory in uplink OFDMA multi-hop relay networks
Published 2012-03-01“…Resource allocation issue in uplink OFDMA multi-hop relay networks was investigated.Firstly, with constraints such as maximum transmission power being imposed,a multi-cell optimization model for resource allocation in uplink OFDMA multi-hop relay networks was formulated.By applying non-cooperative game and pricing theories, the optimization is transformed into the case where power was independently allocated on each sub-channel.The existence and uniqueness of Nash equilibrium for power allocation model which was based on non-cooperative was proven, and accordingly a distributed algorithm was proposed.Simulation results show that, the proposed algorithm can improve the system throughput effectively while profoundly reducing total system transmission power, thus achieving much higher energy efficiency ratio.…”
