Chichimene field T2 sand: a successful application of cycles in a water injection project on heavy crude oil, enabled by a novel smart selective completion system adapted for water... by Pedro Luis Solorzano, Carlos Emilio Giosa, Carol Stephanny Rojas, Mónica Andrea Satizabal, Amelia Jhoanna Araque, Luisa Fernanda Falla, Walter Enrique Sanchez, Luis Oswaldo Castañeda, Mónica Alexandra Martínez, Diana Patricia Ahmedt

    Published 2024-06-01
“…The target unit has been subjected to selective water injection since 2016, this process consisted of injection of a controlled amount of water within 3-4 zones in equilibrium with the extractive system on producers wells to find a better crude oil movement and a commercial recovery factor. Despite this, the surveillance evidence suggests that some zones consume too much water due its high permeability (heterogeneity) and this impacts on high water cut on producers due to the (adverse mobility ratio), but also suggested that there is a better way to improve even more the recovery factor. …”

Genomic selection strategies to overcome genotype by environment interactions in biosecurity-based aquaculture breeding programs by Ziyi Kang, Jie Kong, Qi Li, Juan Sui, Ping Dai, Kun Luo, Xianhong Meng, Baolong Chen, Jiawang Cao, Jian Tan, Qiang Fu, Qun Xing, Sheng Luan

    Published 2025-01-01
“…Stochastic simulation was employed to evaluate genetic gain and G × E trends in BS for improving the body weight of L. vannamei, considering selective genotyping strategies for test group (TG) at a commercial farm environment (CE), the number individuals of the selection group (SG) genotyped at nucleus breeding center (NE), and varying levels of G × E. …”

Exploring the Role of C-C Motif Chemokine Ligand-2 Single Nucleotide Polymorphism in Pulmonary Tuberculosis: A Genetic Association Study from North India by Sanjay K. Biswas, Mayank Mittal, Ekata Sinha, Vandana Singh, Nidhi Arela, Bharat Bajaj, Pramod K. Tiwari, Vishwa M. Katoch, Keshar K. Mohanty

    Published 2020-01-01
“…Further, CCL2, IL-12p70, IFN-γ, TNF-α, and TGF-β levels were measured in serum samples of these participants using commercially available kits. Our analysis indicated that the homozygous mutant in both -2518 GG (OR=2.07, p=0.02) and -362 CC (OR=1.92, p=0.03) genotypes was associated with susceptibility to pulmonary TB. …”

Relation among zootechnical performance, biochemical indicators, water quality, and small invertebrates (zooplankton) abundance reared in biofloc-supplemented systems by Ahmed Said Al-Souti, Marwa M. Zaher, Amr M. Helal, Dina T. Meshhal, Mansour D. H., Afify D. G. Al-Afify, Mohamed M. Rafaey, Abeer El-Saharty, Ehab El-Haroun, Marian G. Nassif, Abdallah Tageldein Mansour, Abdallah Tageldein Mansour, Mohamed Ashour

    Published 2025-01-01
“…Fish weights were recorded weekly to adjust the feeding rate at 3% of their biomass using a commercial diet. Compared to the control group (T0, zero biofloc water supplementation), the influence of five biofloc supplementation levels was applied as follows: 14.2, 28.4, 42.6, 56.8, and 71 g L−1 (T1, T2, T3, T4, and T5, respectively). …”
