Exploring the validity of perceived velocity in lower-limb resistance exercises with a cluster-set configuration
Published 2024-11-01“…Conversely, a negligible Bayesian correlation was identified for squat (r=0.101, 95%CrI [-0.132, 0.319]), with substantial evidence favoring the null hypothesis (BF10=0.208). …”

Child-therapist acoustic synchrony and response trajectories in autism intervention: an AI-based automated analysis using dynamic systems theory and affective computing
Published 2025-12-01“…After AI-based automatic speech segmentation, acoustic synchrony was assessed using Cross-Recurrence Quantification Analysis to derive interaction metrics over the entire therapy sessions employing affective prosodic features. Robust Bayesian correlation analysis was used to explore the relationship between affective acoustic synchrony and developmental learning rates at different time points. …”

Supervised machine learning applied in nursing notes for identifying the need of childhood cancer patients for psychosocial support
Published 2025-08-01“…Patients with the latter label were identified by having an outpatient appointment reservation in a mental health–related care unit at least 1 year after their primary diagnosis.ResultsThe random forest classification model trained on both cancer and diabetes patients performed best for the cancer patient population in three-times repeated nested cross-validation with 0.798 mean area under the receiver operating characteristics curve and was better with 99% probability (credibility interval −0.2840 to −0.0422) than the neural network–based model using only cancer patients in training when comparing all classifiers pairwise by using the Bayesian correlated t-test.ConclusionsUsing machine learning to predict childhood cancer patients needing psychosocial support was possible using nursing notes with a good area under the receiver operating characteristics curve. …”

Climate change distress and impairment in Germany
Published 2024-09-01“…To evaluate associations between constructs, Bayesian correlations were calculated.ResultsEspecially women, younger people, people from West Germany, and people with a high level of formal education seem to experience higher levels of climate change distress. …”
