Summary: | The study examined the impact of management practices on the performance of employees in compassion projects in Kigezi Region Uganda a case study of Kihanga Child Development Centre in Rukiga District. The objectives of the study were; to investigate the types of management practices used on employee performance, to establish the levels of employee performance in Kihanga Child Development Centre, and to analyze the relationship between management practice and employee performance in Kihanga Child Development Centre. A descriptive research design
Data was collected using interviews and questionnaires. The study findings on the types of management practices used on employee performance, the highest number of respondents mentioned mentioned staffing and the lowest number of respondents mentioned union and employee relations. The study findings on the level of employee performance at Kihanga Child Development Centre, the highest number of respondents mentioned that employee teamwork determines the level of employee performance and the lowest number of respondents mentioned that training and development determines the level of employee performance. The study findings on the relationship between management practice and employee performance in Kihanga Child Development Centre, the highest number of respondents mentioned that management practices ensure effective communication among the employees which leads to performance and the lowest number of respondents mentioned that management practices provide effective feedback from the conversation of the employees which motivates them to have a better knowledge on what they are doing and the study recommended that better staffing should be done at Kihanga child development center for better execution of the project activities to ensure the performance of the organization and Kihanga child development center project should advocate for better management practices that suite different situations so that the performance of the project can be improved. |
