description The study aimed to investigate the impact of Cash Management Practices on the Financial Growth of small and medium-sized businesses in Uganda, specifically focusing on Nyakyera sub-county, Ntungamo District. The objectives of the study are to optimize liquidity and control cash flows, meet working capital requirements, plan for capital expenditures, and enhance fund efficiency while minimizing costs for businesses in Nyakyera sub-county. The methodology employed was a descriptive and analytical research design using semi-structured questionnaires to gather comprehensive insights into Cash Management Practices and Financial Growth. A sample size of 35 respondents was selected using a stratified sampling method. Data collection involved primary sources through questionnaires designed with Likert scales and secondary sources such as textbooks, internet sources, journals, and newspaper articles. The study revealed that while Cash Management Practices are crucial for the financial growth of small and medium businesses in Nyakyera sub-county, there is a significant gap in their effective implementation. This gap has had a negative impact on these businesses, particularly evidenced by a steady increase in default rates during the specified periods. This increase underscores the need for further investigation into its root causes.
