description The study investigated mobile banking and the financial performance of microfinance banks, focusing on Pride Microfinance Limited in Kabale. The study had three main objectives: to identify the mobile banking services provided by Pride Microfinance Ltd - Kabale branch, to examine the factors influencing the adoption of mobile banking services at this branch, and to establish the relationship between mobile banking and the financial performance of Pride Microfinance Ltd - Kabale branch. A case study research design with a quantitative approach was used. The findings revealed that Pride Microfinance Ltd offers services such as bill payments via mobile banking, and money transfers across accounts, all of which can be accessed through the bank. The study concluded that the introduction of mobile banking has positively impacted the financial performance of banks in the industry. The mobile banking services offered by Pride Microfinance Bank Uganda, including balance inquiries, bill payments, and money transfers, have simplified banking for customers, thereby increasing transaction levels and customer loyalty. To access mobile banking services, customers need to register at any nearest branch. The study recommended that the bank should conduct research to develop user-friendly mobile banking packages, such as electronic phone-based deposit and withdrawal services, to meet diverse customer needs and capture untapped market niches. This would help expand market share and improve financial performance. Additionally, the study suggested implementing recommendations to enhance the adoption and successful usage of electronic banking.
