The researcher used the descriptive research design as appropriate for the study because the study was concerned with finding answers to a key question about the topic under study, Both quantitative and qualitative data· were collected and this enabled the researcher to draw valid and dependable conclusions and recommendations of the study. Using Krejicie and Morgan's table of determination of sample size from a given study population (1970), the Study population was put into strata namely 46 parents and 20 school teachers were part of this study. The study engaged a total of sixty-six (66) respondents. Data collection methods and tools used to collect data included interviews and questionnaires. The researcher considered the validity of instruments to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the tools to arrive at dependable findings, conclusions, and recommendations as demanded by the study objectives and topic. The respondents who accounted for 5(8%) revealed that lack of guidance and counseling influence gender inequality among some girls in secondary school. 7(11 %) revealed that distance from school also influences gender inequality in girl child secondary school education in Kamuganguzi Sub-county, Kabale District. They argued that some students had to travel 4-6 km to school every day. 17(11 %) of the respondents added that an increased infant and child mortality rate is also another effect of gender inequality in school. It can also be concluded that to ensure community and economic development, gender inequality in education should be addressed through mainstreaming gender in education in teacher colleges and universities, changing negative practices such as early marriage, polygamy, religion, and child labor practices. This study recommends that the government prioritize investment in education and develop policies to improve the financing of education in such a way as to provide adequate educational facilities for all schools to eliminate the long-existing gender and spatial inequalities. . ,,
