Summary:Youth livelihood program is important in solving youth unemployment, raising income levels among the youth, providing youth with entrepreneurship and life skills as an integral part of their livelihoods, and empowering the youth to harness their social and economic potential. The government of Uganda has put in place strategies to enable its success whereby the government has redesigned the program and considered giving small working capital loans to prepared individual youth, presenting budget proposals for the projects chosen, and presenting group constitution as a requirement. The purpose of the study was to assess the effect of the youth livelihood fund on the economic development of youth in Uganda through a case study of the Kamatojo ICT project in Kabale Municipality.
