Since the July Monarchy, the demi-mondaine as an archetype, even became a main erotic figure within the cultural representation of Paris' world of pleasures. In order to take practices as a relevant element in the emergence of individual subjectivities In order to bring practises’ part into individual subjectivity elaboration process out, this article analyses the different elements which are distinctive of the demi-mondaines and the individual's social rise inside the venal hierarchy. We would like to put into perspective the way in which demi-mondaines played the part of a licentious kind of women in order to exercise their activity with their autobiographical writing at the end of their lifes.
