| Summary: | Recently, much attention has been paid to solving problems associated with air pollution. There are various methods for measuring air pollution levels. One of the methods for assessing the state of the air environment is the lichen indication method. The method is based on monitoring the condition of lichens, representatives of the group of xerophytes, i.e. Using lichens, the state of atmospheric air in the study area was determined. This article presents a multidimensional analysis of lichens growing in the Karakol region of the Issyk-Kul region. Monthly monitoring was carried out on this topic throughout the year from May to October. Based on the monitoring results, the distribution area of lichens and their current state were determined. The reason for the decline in lichen colonies has been determined. The monitoring results can be used to develop environmental protection measures and create a forecast of the state of the environment in the city of Karakol. |
