| description | Abstract The aim of this work is to analyze the effect of digital financial inclusion on gender inequalities in Africa. To achieve this objective, we constituted a sample of 36 countries taking into account data over the period from 2015 to 2021. To take into account the bias of endogeneity and to have a robust result, we used the technique of system dynamic panel estimation (S-GMM). The results of our estimations reveal that digital financial inclusion negatively and significantly affects income inequality in African countries. The same goes for the different economic zones of Africa. Furthermore, international trade and women's employment also represent indicators of reduction of gender inequalities in Africa. It is therefore up to the authorities in charge of the African continent to achieve axis 5 of the SDGs, i.e. the reduction of gender inequalities, to facilitate women's access to financial services and improve the participation of women to jobs in the labor market. |
