The factor influencing its implementation is the knowledge of health workers, which must continue to be improved. The aim of this research is to analyze the relationship between nurse knowledge and the implementation of identification patients correctly at the Idaman Hospital, Banjarbaru City. This research used quantitative research using a correlational design with a cross-sectional design with a simple random sampling technique conducted on 76 nurses. The instrument used is a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the chi-square. The results of data analysis show that there is a relationship between knowledge and the implementation of patient identification at Idaman Hospital, Banjarbaru City, with a p-value <α (0.033 <0.05) and an OR value of 3.281, which means that good knowledge has a risk of 3.281 times greater, making the application of identification a good patient. From the research results, it was found that there was a relationship between knowledge and the application of patient identification. Knowledge is the basis for nurses to take action. The implementation of good patient identification is influenced by the level of knowledge and understanding of nurses regarding the procedures or SOPs set by the hospital regarding patient identification. There is a relationship between knowledge and the application of patient identification. The better the knowledge of nurses, in line with the implementation of patient identification and improving hospital quality.
