Description
Summary:The article presents the results of an experimental study of leakage currents that occur during the operation of automatic foam extinguishing systems (AUPT). The purpose of the work was to evaluate the possibility of safe use of AUPT for extinguishing electrical equipment under 36 kV AC voltage. The developed experimental setup and measurement procedure are described, and the values of leakage currents for various types of AUPT are obtained. It is concluded that the AUPT can be used to extinguish electrical equipment under voltage, subject to certain conditions regarding the intensity of the fire extinguishing agent supply.
