| Summary: | The UV-induced mutant strain UV5, obtained by UV-induced mutagenesis of Lipomyces tetrasporus NRRL Y11562, showed the excellent capability of accumulating lipid. Several factors influencing lipid production of UV5 were studied. The lipid productivity reached 9.09 g·L-1 under the following conditions: shaking flask fermentation, glucose as carbon source, (NH4)2SO4 as nitrogen source, ratio of carbon to nitrogen at 308, initial pH 6.5, inoculation proportion of 10%, incubated at 28 ℃ for 96 h. Fatty acid compositions of the produced oil were analyzed by gas chromatography, showing the primary compositions of palmitic acid (C16:0), palmitoleic acid (C16:1), steric acid (C18:0), oleic acid (C18:1) and linoleic acid (C18:2n—1), and these compositions were similar to the vegetable oil. |
