| description | The advancement of globalization and the "Belt and Road" initiative has increasingly highlighted the strategic importance of maritime passages in international trade and energy transportation, making their security a critical issue. Based on a review and analysis of major academic research on maritime passage security, this paper summarizes the core viewpoints and contributions from existing literature in areas such as the definition of concepts, their importance, influencing factors, security assessment, risk warnings, and safeguarding measures. In light of China's current complex international situation, this study further explores China's practical needs in safeguarding overseas interests and ensuring maritime passage security, proposing recommendations for research and practice from multiple perspectives, including strengthening maritime military presence and deterrence, advancing multi-level international security cooperation mechanisms, and improving the security of key nodes. This paper aims to expand the theoretical scope of maritime passage security and provide substantial theoretical support and practical guidance for the formulation of more targeted maritime passage security policies in China under the new circumstances. |
