Description
Summary:Abstract: The article presents the issue of regeneration of injectors with a piezoelectric actuator, taking into account existing limitations and the availability of original spare parts. The scope of required maintenance activities by leading fuel equipment manufacturers was compared, as well as the types of diagnostic tests conducted in separate laboratory facilities. Examples of measuring devices that should be standard and optional equipment in workshops operating in this service sector were provided. Through our own research, it was demonstrated that this process can be effectively carried out, even when there is a need to expand existing production procedures. Improving the efficiency of these repairs aligns with environmentally friendly practices, as extending the product lifecycle is in line with the concept of sustainable development. Furthermore, the technology that replaces first and second-generation electromagnetic injectors is supported, and its application has a direct impact on increasing fuel dosage precision, achieving faster response to changing driving conditions, as well as enhancing the durability and reliability of modern automotive engines. This is particularly important in the transportation services sector, where in addition to the need for reducing harmful impact on the environment, economic considerations are also crucial.
