Description
Summary:This article examines the heterogeneity of the definition and apprehension of the emotion as a scientific object in human and social sciences. Exploring these different ways shows two conceptual and theoretical oppositions. The first concerns naturalistic and constructionist background. The second deals with deterministic theory, which aims to explain socially the emotions, and actionist one, which is more focalised on the role of emotion in social change. In this context, the article defends that a more relational approach interested with stakes and forms of the categorization of emotions could pass round the theoretical opposition, and offers a better methodological capture of emotions.
