Summary:The purpose of the present study was to investigate the correlation between self-confidence and psychological capital of athletes (students with a history of continuous sports activity of at least one year) during the Corona era. The statistical population of this research is 200 male student athletes who were randomly selected and two self-efficacy and psychological capital questionnaires were distributed among them. Data were analyzed by Pearson correlation tests, analysis of variance and SPSS version 24 software. The findings showed that there is a significant positive relationship between psychological capital and self-confidence with 99% confidence (α=0.01) and correlation coefficient of 0.369. Self-confidence and sub-components of psychological capital (self-efficacy, hope, resilience and optimism) were at the significance level (α = 0.01) of 99% confidence and the correlation coefficient of each was 0.196, 0.254, 0.20 and It is 0.571. Also, the average psychological capital is 108.63 and the average self-confidence is 27.56. Also, in the subscales of psychological capital, 29.25 (self-efficacy), 27.54 (hope), 26.78 (optimism) and 24.97 (resilience) have averages from the highest to the lowest. According to the results, it can be concluded that there is a positive relationship between them, and psychological capital and its scales are an important factor for people's self-confidence in acute stressful situations such as during the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus, and the stronger and bolder the psychological capital of student athletes is, More self-confidence is seen in them.
