Summary:At the first, the author systematically analyzed the existing states of the planar Stephenson III synthesis and features of various optimization methods. After the hybrid problem of genetic algorithm and the chaotic optimization algorithm were discussed in detail, a chaos genetic optimization algorithm was proposed by the use of the properties of ergodicity, inherent stochastic property,"regularity" of chaos and strongly sensitivity to initial value. The programming was compiled with Matlab6.1 programming language. The problem of function generation for Planar StephensonⅢ six-link Mechanism was solved by this optimization method , and thus meaningful solutions for this problem with maximum precision positions were obtained for the first time.
