The new topologies and control strategies of active power filters (APFs) at home and abroad were emphatically summarized and<br />compared. Moreover, a LCL-filter-based parallel active power filter (PAPF) was presented, which adopts current double-closed-loop controlbased on the active damping method to verify effectiveness of the proposed method. Finally, development trend of APFs and their control strategies were pointed out.
