description This study aimed to identify biomarkers that could enhance the accuracy of diagnosing reversible and irreversible pulpitis. This systematic review was conducted in adherence to the guidelines outlined in PRISMA. A total of twelve studies were included for analysis. A meta-analysis of nine studies showed an overall effect of 9.91 with a P value of less than 0.00001. Eight out of the nine studies favored the control group. The studies exhibited substantial variation, with an I-square value of 99%, indicating significant heterogeneity (P < 0.00001). According to this systemic review, the expression of IL-8, TNF-a, MMP-9, and RAGE gene and protein was increased in pulp samples from teeth clinically diagnosed with irreversible symptomatic pulpitis.
