| Summary: | Although organizations manage to sustain their global competitiveness by responding well to a dynamic business environment, the negative side of receptivity has implications for employees. Ultimately, frequent changes escalate the stressful work environment and exhaustion, which affect employees’ well-being and work outcomes. To overcome this effect, adequate resources are essential for employees to be ready for organizational change, thereby effectively managing it. This conceptual paper explores the link between mindfulness as a personal resource and employees’ readiness for organizational change based on a literature review of various repositories. Building on the conservation of resources theory, the proposed framework demonstrates the relationship between mindfulness and readiness for change with employee engagement as a mediator. The proposed conceptual model provides a new lens for future empirical studies to stimulate employees’ readiness for organizational change. It is believed that mindful employees are flexible and optimistic about their work, leading to greater engagement and enhanced readiness for change efforts.
