Description
Summary:The concept of territorial logics of peoples and/or States is an essential tool for a geohistorical approach of the Eurasian spaces. It applies as well to peoples-world with imperial past (Greeks, Chinese, Vietnamese, Turks, Arabs) as to résilient peoples-world (Armenians, Kurds) that have survived at the margins of empires. The coming out of the Nation state’s model, born in Western Europe, influenced or bent the territorial logics of these peoples and of their States. But its impact and its consolidation or, on the contrary, its fragility, depend widely on structures and on behaviors, which were well before set up its appearance. The analysis of the current geopolitical situation gains to be so put in perspective with regard to these heavy trends of the history of these societies building their territory.
