Summary:To establish a rapid determination method of lycopene and β-carotene in fruit vegetables and plasma, different pretreatments were used for different samples. Separation was achieved by the use of ODS-C<sub>18</sub> column, acetonitrile: tetrathydrofuran (60∶40, V/V) as mobile phase, a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min and detector at 445 nm was used. The recoveries of lycopene and β-carotene were 89.54%-93.71% and 90.29%-96.43% respectively, the coefficients of variation were 3.9%-5.68%. The results showed that this method was simple, rapid and accurate.
