Summary:Until recently, a scarcity of data on paid sick leave (PSL) hindered recent efforts to measure PSL coverage in Canada, an important limitation highlighted by the COVID-19 pandemic. This study fills this information gap. Using the 1995 Survey of Work Arrangements and the Labour Force Survey from 2020 to 2022, this study documents the evolution of employee PSL coverage in Canada from 1995 to 2022.
