| description | Abstract Grounded in multiple theoretical frameworks, this study develops and empirically validates the HOPE Model, a comprehensive intervention framework designed to enhance the over-all wellbeing among secondary vocational school students in China. A quasi-experimental design was implemented with 207 students to assess the model’s impact across multiple domains, including psychological well-being, academic performance, interpersonal relationships. Findings indicate that students who participated in the HOPE Model intervention exhibited significant improvements in hope levels, happiness, goal-oriented motivation, academic performance, and interpersonal relationships compared to the control group. The results highlight the HOPE Model’s efficacy in shifting from a deficit-focused educational approach to a strengths-based model for secondary vocational students. This study contributes to the field of positive psychology-based educational interventions, offering a structured and scalable framework for enhancing vocational students’ holistic development. |
