| description | Abstract Myrrh resin is obtained from Commiphora myrrh which is distributed in different regions such as Eastern Africa, Arabia, and India. The objective of this study is to investigate three types of organic Arabia and Africa myrrh such as Omani, Yemeni, and Somali have been investigated using Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP), X-ray diffractometer (XRD), and Scanning electrons microscopy (SEM). Analysis executed by ICP revealed that various elements present in the three types of myrrh. Iron (Fe), Potassium (K), Lead (Pb), Selenium (Se), Thallium (Tl) are found in large amount of three types of myrrh. The Somali myrrh has the greatest size of Crystalize, then Omani myrrh, and the last Yemeni myrrh from XRD analysis. The topography and morphology have been extracted by SEM images with different scales. The isotropy texture direction was highest in the Omani, Yemeni, and Somali, respectively. This study focuses on the understanding myrrh resin of medical usage by founding that the elements concentrations depend on the region of myrrh resin. For future research to investigate is myrrh resin safe to use as a medication or in industries should consider the origin region of myrrh resin. |
