description The contemporary age is marked by the emergence of media literacy as a critical competency particularly due to the rapid dissemination of information and the development of more and more sophisticated misinformation tactics. This paper explores the imperative of integrating media literacy into military education, and more specifically into military EFL training. It also aims to demonstrate that there is a firm intersection of media literacy training with EFL teaching strategies. The paper analyzes definitions, significances, and pedagogical strategies that are tailored for military cadets, in an attempt to highlight the role that media literacy plays in enhancing not only language skills, but also critical thinking, operational effectiveness, and resilience against disinformation. Because it focuses on the inclusion of EFL strategies, the article proposes an innovative approach to media analysis and language proficiency with the aim to equip military students with the essential cognitive and linguistic skills for navigating complex media landscapes.
