| Summary: | We investigate how successful is the Responsible Innovation in the North Macedonia. In order to examine this issue in a country-specific context, a two-fold approach was used. First, a typical case of a micro-company engaged in innovative agriculture was presented. Second, data was collected with a semi-structured questionnaire through a Focus Group Discussion (2021). We applied the Innovation Spiral as a theoretical foundation to examine the practice of innovation in each of its seven phases i.e. initial idea, inspiration, planning, development, realisation, dissemination and embedding. We also assessed the development of the Agriculture Knowledge and Innovation System (AKIS) in the country with the particular case study. We have found gaps, opportunities, constraints and blind spots in the responsible innovation process related to the inclusion of the AKIS members and their interaction in the co-innovation processes. |
