Bituminous mixes are most widely used in flexible paving construction around the world. This consists of asphalt or bitumen (used as binder) and a mixture of minerals that is blended together, coated and so compacted. Under common circumstances, standard bituminous pavements perform very satisfactorily if planned and implemented properly; however, the performance of bituminous mixtures is extremely poor in various situations. Today's asphalt concrete pavements are expected to perform higher as they face increased traffic volume, increased loads and increased daily or seasonal temperature fluctuations over past experiences. Additionally, in wet induced circumstances the efficiency of bituminous pavements is found to be terribly low. Given that much work was performed on the use of additives in bituminous mixtures as well as on bitumen alteration. In today's lifestyle, plastics are everywhere, and are rising rapidly in particular. As these are non-biodegradable, the disposal of these solid wastes poses a big problem for the community. Waste plastic has proved to be a strong bitumen additive. This work would help to increase the longevity of the flexible paving lifetime. This study is a representation of the behavior of modified bitumen mix with waste membrane.
