Description
Summary:Implementation of new and modern approaches in the presentation of course content to undergraduate dental students is going on throughout the world. Case-based learning is a learning approach where students engage in discussion of intricate real-life cases through discussion and analysis of in-depth case studies. Through the total immersion of students in situations based on real dilemmas faced within working environments, this pedagogical approach works to establish a link between theoretical knowledge and real application. Through this, it works to establish a learning experience where critical thinking and problem-solving skills needed to deal with real life are fostered. This article presents an overview of recent trends, impacts, and implications of incorporating case-based teaching principles into dental training curricula.
