Development of synthesis conditions of neutral calcium sulfonate diluted in synthetic oils
In the paper, the possibility of synthesizing neutral calcium sulfonate based on synthetic long-chain linear alkylbenzene sulfonic acid (LLABSA) is investigated. The aim of this work was to synthesize an additive that is highly soluble in API group I, III and IV base oils, with a high level of physi...

| description | In the paper, the possibility of synthesizing neutral calcium sulfonate based on synthetic long-chain linear alkylbenzene sulfonic acid (LLABSA) is investigated. The aim of this work was to synthesize an additive that is highly soluble in API group I, III and IV base oils, with a high level of physico-chemical properties, using a mixture of base oil and ester as the diluent oil. As a result, a neutral calcium sulfonate was obtained, and its influence on the specific properties of oils I, III, and IV of the API Group at a 2% concentration was studied. The composition and structure of the obtained sulfonates were investigated using inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) and infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) methods. The obtained calcium sulfonate is not inferior to the commercial additive NSCS-30 produced by “AddiTech” in terms of detergent- dispersing, anti-wear and anti-corrosion properties. |
